Chitwan national park lies in the Chitwan district of Nepal. The word “Chitwan” is derived from two Nepali words, Chit and Wan, Chit means heart and wan means jungle .hence Chitwan is also referred to as the heart of the jungle. Chitwan National park is also included under the list of UNESCO heritage sites. Chitwan national park is known for its wildlife which is also home to various species of flora and fauna such as langur monkeys, wild boar, sloth bear, jungle cats, pythons, crocodiles, elephants, deer, and over 500 species of birds where famous one-horned rhino, Bengal tiger, can be seen in its natural undisturbed habitat. Chitwan national park is a conservational area that covers 932 sq. km. Chitwan National Park tour gives you the opportunity of exploring to the wilderness that lies within the dense Sal forests of the national park, Chitwan national park is also known for its various jungle activities such as Canoeing, jungle walks, elephant safari, jeep safari, elephant bathing taking you deep into the dense forest, which offers a close sighting of animals walking in herds, monkeys, rhinos drinking water in the bank of Rapti Riveras. Around the national, park there are many Tharu villages and communities from where you get an opportunity of experiencing their rich culture and tradition, and lifestyle as you also get the chance to also attain the cultural tharu dance, visit tharu museum.
Today, we start our journey to Chitwan as we take the countryside road alongside Trishuli and many other rivers offering us a great scenic view of lush green hills during our drive towards Chitwan national park. After reaching Chitwan National Park, we will be attending a briefing program related to our jungle tour.
Today after having our breakfast, we resume our exploration of Chitwan national park and will be doing various jungle activities such as
6:00 am – Wake up
6:30 am- breakfast time
7:00 am- Canoe ride along the Rapti river + jungle walk
13:00pm- Enjoy your lunch.
15:00 pm- Jeep Drive
Today, after having our breakfast we head back towards Kathmandu valley via tourist bus by taking the countryside road enjoying the lush green scenic drive through hills and alongside rivers. After we bid farewell and depart to our respective departments.
