The word “Chitwan” is made up of two Nepali words, Chit and Wan, Chit means heart and wan means jungle, symbolizing the heart of the jungle. included under the list of UNESCO heritage sites, therefore, hold the pride of visiting the UNESCO listed sites as you explore the wildlife in its natural and undisturbed habitat as it’s a wildlife conservational area which covers 932 sq. km and is home for various species of flora and fauna such as langur monkeys, wild boar, sloth bear, jungle cats, pythons, crocodiles, elephants, deer and over 500 species of birds and also the home to one-horned rhino, Bengal tiger, etc. Chitwan National Park tour gives you the opportunity to explore and get closer to the wilderness of the dense Sal forests of the national park jungle by doing various activities such as Canoeing and visit nearby Tharu village to learn about their rich culture and tradition and lifestyle as you also get the chance to also attain the cultural Tharu dance. Then jeep safari takes you into the dense forest, giving you the taste of wilderness that beholds sight of animals walking in herds, monkeys, rhino’s drinking water in the bank of Rapti River.
Today, we start our journey to Chitwan as we take the countryside road alongside Trishuli and many other rivers offering us a great scenic view of lush green hills during our drive towards Chitwan national park. On reaching Chitwan National Park, we attend a briefing program related to our jungle tour. 16:00 pm –a short visit to nearby ethnic Tharu village. Then, visit the National Park Visitor’s center. followed by the sunset view from the bank of Rapti River. 19:00 pm –a cultural dance of the Tharu community or slideshow presentation. 20:00 pm –Stay overnight at the hotel.
Today after having our breakfast, we resume our exploration of the vast jungle as we will be doing many activities such as
6:00 am – Wake up
6:30 am- breakfast time
7:00 am- Canoe ride along the Rapti river + jungle walk
13:00pm- Enjoy your lunch.
15:00pm- Jeep Drive
20:00pm- Enjoy your dinner. Overnight stay at Chitwan
Today, after having our breakfast we head back towards Kathmandu valley via tourist bus by taking the countryside road enjoying the lush green scenic drive through hills and alongside rivers. After we bid farewell and depart to our respective department.
