Nepal suffered a huge setback in early 2015 affecting different regions and communities .due to various natural calamities such as the devastating earthquakes. In Nepal, community services and infrastructure projects are under-resourced and made difficult to complete by a limited budget. Although Nepal has been receiving many volunteering aids from the youths within the country and also from foreign. But still, the progress has been slow .hence requiring more assistance, especially within the education and healthcare sectors.

This project is suitable for all volunteers who are interested in physical work and who are not afraid to get stuck in and get their hands dirty. As a Construction volunteer, you will be helping on projects such as in schools, community learning centers, childcare centers, and also in infrastructure projects around Kathmandu, Chitlang, Pokhara, and Chitwan. you will be working alongside our qualified local staff to accomplish the work. Volunteers can expect to work about 5 – 6 hours per day. Tasks are not limited but also include projects like building, renovating, painting, restoration, carpentry, and landscaping.

As a volunteer builder or laborer in Nepal, you’ll be adding value to the local community, while also developing personally and professionally by:

Detail Itinerary

On your first day of volunteering, you will be escorted to your placement by a local coordinator and introduced to the placement staff you will be working with.

Weekdays:

While a volunteer daily schedule will vary depending on the specific placement, a typical day is as follows:

7:30 AM: Breakfast at the homestay.

8:00 AM:  Volunteers leave home and travel to their placements. There is usually a tea break and a lunch break.

2:00 – 5:00 PM:     Work at the placement usually ends. Volunteers are free to travel back to the volunteer house, go sightseeing, or do some shopping.

7:00 – 9:00 PM:        Dinner at the homestay.
