Expedition members usually fly into Lukla (2,860 m) from Kathmandu and pass through Namche Bazaar to reach EBC .people who are not very experienced trekkers stop till Everest base camp and but for people who want to summit the Everest they take few days for acclimatization the altitude, base camps are situated throughout different regions of Everest summit trails for the settlement of people going to the top.in every base camp, there are expertise and small scale medical care and usually, when anything goes wrong the injured or the people who have passed away due to their injuries are taken back to these base camp usually based NAMCHE BAZAR:
Namche Bazar is called the gateway to Everest .it is located in the Khumbu region, here you can get access to different facilities such as wifi, electricity, atm, clinics. surprisingly also a western clinic that has decent equipment and also a decompression chamber for severe altitude sickness. There are also local clinics that offer free medical care only to cuts and bruises and non-altitude related sickness but take charge.
After you arrive at the Tribhuvan international airport (TIA), Kathmandu, Nepal.where our representative will be waiting for your arrival to transfer you to the hotel where you will be staying for the night. Later In the evening, we will be going out to have a traditional Nepali where we will be able to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine with a brief cultural program. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today our representative along with the tour guide will pick you up from your location from this point you officially start your tour of the valley starts as we head towards Pashupatinath temple, one of the important temples for Hindu followers which sits beside the holy Bagmati river. After you explore the Pashupatinath area you head towards Bhaktapur city. After reaching the Bhaktapur durbar square which is also known as the Town of the Devotees full of ancient medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle, you will first visit the Nyatapola temple and many other landmarks and monuments. After visiting the palace center, we get to the pottery section of the square where you will see the traditional way of making potteries. The city of Patan is also known as The City of Fine Arts as it has many ancient places, temples, and shrines, along with their exquisite cravings giving us and detailed insights about the history of Nepal its unique art and architecture skills. In Patan Durbar square we visit Krishna Mandir, Patan museum, and many other monuments, landmarks, shrines, etc. Then we head towards the famous stupa Swayambhunath stupa which is also known as “the monkey temple” and one of the biggest stupa. After a long day, we head back towards our hotel.
After a quick breakfast, we head off towards the airport to catch a flight to Lukla. The flight offers to stun us with great panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. As we are mesmerized by the breathtaking views we reach Lukla airport. After we land we will be meeting our trekking guide then we start the hiking towards Phakding. As we hike capturing every moment as we walk and catch a glimpse of the triple-peaked summit of Kusum Kanguru. as we reach Phakding where we will be staying for a night in a guesthouse.
After a quick breakfast, we head off to the airport to catch a flight to Lukla. The flight offers to stun us with great panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. as we are mesmerized by the breathtaking views we reach Lukla airport. After we land we will be meeting our trekking guide then we start the hiking towards Phakding. As we hike capturing every moment as we walk and catch a glimpse of the triple-peaked summit of Kusum Kanguru. as we reach Phakding where we will be staying for a night in a guesthouse.
Today is reserved for acclimatization as we have ascended higher elevations. Fortunately, there is a lot to see and to do in Namche Bazaar from where you’ll get to enjoy your first unobstructed view of Everest along with other neighboring peaks including the mighty Thamserku, Kongde RI, and Ama Dablam. we can also pay a visit to the Sherpa Culture Museum to learn about their culture and traditions. After our visit to the museum we take a short hike to Syangboche Airport from here, you get a stunning view of Namche Bazaar. Finally, we will be visiting the Hotel Everest View which is regarded as the highest hotel in the world. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.
Today after breakfast, continue on the trail we climb Khumjung hill and after reaching Khumjung the trail starts to descend to the east of the village down to the broad valley leading us to the Dudh Koshi from where the route turns north. Further, as we continue on the trail we reach a chorten on the ridge top at 3973 m which descends from Mt. Khumbila (5761 m). along the way, we visit Mohan. Then the trail descends down to the Dush Koshi. We stay overnight in Phortse Tanga.
Today, we continue on the trail that starts ascending From Phortse Thanga towards Machhermo Taking us through rhododendron forest and waterfall before reaching Tongba Village. As we further continue on the trail we pass through Dole, Labarma, and Luza villages before reaching Machhermo. Overnight in Machhermo.
Today after having our breakfast we resume our trek by climbing a ridge offering us a mesmerizing view of the valley to Kangtaiga. As we follow the trail the valley widens as we pass through Phangkha. Then we will descend down to the riverbank. As we further follow the trail we pass Longpongo lake at 4690 m, Taboche Tsho Lake, to be mesmerized by the shimmering blue sheet of water sparkling in the sun. Further, ahead we reach Gokyo village with Cho-Oyu Mountain as a backdrop sets offering a spectacular scene. After having our lunch, we head towards Dudh Pokhari. Overnight in Gokyo village.
Today we will hike towards Gokyo Ri, a small peak above Gokyo village. After breakfast savoring the fantastic views of the entire Khumbu region, we resume on the trail that ascends which offers breathtaking views of the four of the seven highest peaks of Nepal, Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. As we continue on the trail we reach the fourth lake, Thonak Tsho where we are taking some time to regroup ourselves as we take pleasure in the lake’s serene beauty. After spending some time here, we resume our trek back taking us past the third lake, wherefrom the edge of the third lake overlooked by Cholatse and the broad Nogzumpa Glacier, is magnificent. We are surrounded by panoramic mountains like Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Kangtega, Taboche, Cholatse, Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, Changtse, and Pumori, and if time favors us we may hike up to fifth lake Ngozumba Tsho. From here, we get to the view of Ngozumbaglacier. Overnight in Gokyo.
Yesterday if we didn’t have hiked to Gokyo Ri today we will be heading towards Gokyo Ri, a small peak above Gokyo village. After breakfast savoring the fantastic views of the entire Khumbu region, we resume on the trail that ascends offering us breathtaking views of the four of the seven highest peaks of Nepal, Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. As we continue on the trail we reach the fourth lake, Thonak Tsho where we are taking some time to regroup ourselves as we take pleasure in observing the lake’s scenic beauty. After spending some time here, we resume our trek back taking us past the third lake, wherefrom the edge of the third lake overlooked by Cholatse and the broad Nogzumpa Glacier, is magnificent. We are surrounded by panoramic mountains like Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, Kangtega, Taboche, Cholatse, Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, Changtse, and Pumori,and if time favors us we may hike up to the fifth lake Ngozumba Tsho. From here, we get to the view of the Ngozumba glacier. Next, traverse along the edge of that mountain and then meander into Thagnak. Overnight at Thagnak.
Today as the trail to The Cho La pass is steep and involves a glacier traverse on the eastern side. We need to be careful as the trail is vertical and the rocks glazed by ice may cause trouble by making the trail slippery. The trail takes us through Phedi and starts ascending through a ravine and a rocky trail. Further, as we take the trail we come across the side of a frozen lake, as we reach the top of the pass decorated with prayer flags from where we are offered breathtaking views of The pyramidal Ama Dablam, Cholatse soars to the west and Lobuche East and Baruntse rises sharply to our right. After we have crossed the pass yet we aging face the challenge of crossing some crevasses before reaching Dzongla Village from where it provides great views of Cholatse, Ama Dablam, Lobuche mountains along with the Pheriche Village far below.
As for today, the trail is much easier the rest of the days and takes a short period of time yet offers us great landscapes and views. The trail descends from Dzongla taking us on a grassy trail as we are offered a breathtaking view of Lobuche Peak. Further, continuing on the trail which curves through the wide river bed before reaching Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.
We take the trail to Everest Base Camp through the once vast Gorak Shep Lake. Continuing straight ahead, we come across the Indian army mountaineers’ memorials. The walk is strenuous due to thin air in the high altitude. The trail takes us through rocky dunes, moraine, and streams before reaching the Everest Base Camp. After we reach the Everest Base Camp, we are offered majestic views of Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori mountains. after spending some time here we head back to Gorak Shep. Overnight in Gorak Shep.
Today early in the morning, we head towards the vantage point of Kala Patthar from Gorakshep .the trail ascends to this famous viewpoint as we reach in time for sunrise. Kala Patthar represents the highest elevation of the entire journey from where it offers us unparalleled views as the sunrise reveals a panoramic vista of the Everest massif and the surrounding peaks of Nuptse and Changtse. After spending some time here, we head towards Pheriche a small farming community that serves as a popular stop for trekkers. Overnight at a guesthouse. .
Today we head back towards Lukla after having our breakfast. we head on the trail that takes us through the hillside blanketed by rhododendron and juniper trees. Continuing on the trail we eventually reach Sansa from where we are offered breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Nuptse mountains. Further on the trail, we cross many of the prayer-flag festooned the bridge of Dudh Koshi River, our trail follows the Dudh Koshi gorge descending through pine forest.
Today we head back towards Lukla after having our breakfast taking on the trail as we cross many of the suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags as it flatters in sync to the wind as we passing through the village of Cheung enjoying every landscapes and scenery as we head towards Lukla. Overnight here in Lukla.
Today we catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu after our long mountain journey back to Kathmandu after having breakfast. After we reach the Kathmandu valley we head towards our hotel where you will get leisure time to explore Kathmandu and its local market. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today is the last day of your tour with us. after breakfast, our representative will be dropping you off at the airport 3 hours prior to your fight time schedule.
