Island peak raises tall as an island in between the sea as it lies in between two peaks of Ama Dablam and Lhotse’s bestowing over Chukung glacier. therefore named as Island peak or also known as Imja Tse .it was first climbed by a team of Eric Shipton in 1952 A.D. this peak climb is not so technical and can be performed by anyone with basic snow climbing skill and high altitude endurance capacity. From the top you get amazing views of mountains around the Everest region like Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Nuptse, and many more. The trek also gives you the opportunity of staying on the lap of the world’s highest peak, Everest base camp.
After, your arrival at the bustling capital city of Kathmandu. Where our representative will be waiting for your arrival. After you meet our representative he will be greeting you and transfer you to the hotel. As for today, there are no planned activities, after you check in the hotel you can enjoy your leisure time. Later in the evening, we will be going out to have an authentic Nepali dinner along with live folk dance as a welcome dinner on the behalf of our team. After dinner, we head back to the hotel. Today after having our breakfast, we start exploring the Kathmandu valley in a private vehicle by visiting many sites having great historical and cultural sites such as Swayambhunath also known as “the monkey temple “, Boudhanath stupa a stupa on the off a vantage hill point from where we can get a great view of the valley, Pashupatinath temple one of the most significant temples for the Hindu devotees, and Kathmandu Durbar Square one of the squares of the valley full of ancient temple, art, and architecture. After a long day of exploring the Kathmandu valley, we head back towards our hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, we head off to the airport to catch a flight to Lukla. During the flight, we get to get some stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges before reaching Lukla airport. After we land, we will be meeting our trekking guide and start our hiking towards Phakding. As we hike along the trail capturing every moment as we walk and catch a glimpse of the triple-peaked summit of Kusum Kanguru. As we reach Phakding where we will be staying for a night in a guesthouse.
After having our breakfast we continue our trek, taking the trail to Monjo a small town also known as the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. As we trek through Sagarmatha national park full of diverse and rare species of flora and fauna, evergreen forests of blue pine, deodar, and rhododendron. And as we cross a final suspension bridge at the junction of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. we hike uphill for about two hours before reaching Namche Bazaar. where we will be staying overnight.
Today is reserved for acclimatization: as we have ascended higher elevations. We start exploring Namche Bazaar from where we enjoy our first unobstructed view of Everest along with other neighboring peaks including the mighty Thamserku, Kongde RI, and Ama Dablam.as we are exploring the bazaar we visit the Sherpa Culture Museum to get an insight about culture and traditions of people living in this area .later we will be taking a short hike to Syangboche Airport from here, you get a stunning view of Namche Bazaar. Finally, we will be visiting the Hotel Everest View which is regarded as the highest hotel in the world. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.
Today after having our breakfast we take the trails which is easy up to Kyangjuma from here the trail ascends steeply out of the valley taking us through rhododendron forests giving away fragrant stands of juniper. Further, as we walk on the trail it passes by many Kharkas herds of yaks to graze, through the settlements of Tongba (3950m) and Gyele (3960m) to Dole where it offers us. the mesmerizing views of Khumbila and Tawache (6542m) Overnight at the guesthouse.
Today as we continue on the trail which gradually climbs towards Lambara at (4220m) and Luza (4360m) taking us along the side of the valley and cross sandy spurs to Machhermo (4410m). Overnight at guesthouse.
Today We will be climbing a ridge to get a breathtaking view of the valley. The Kantega and up towards Cho-Oyu beyond the ridge the valley start to widen up as the trail passes through Pangka at (4390m) and gradually descends to the riverbank .form here the trail again begins gradually getting steeper before beginning the climb of the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier. climb up the moraine is steep. Overnight at guesthouse.
Early in the morning, We start our climb up to the Gokyo-Ri, Which is known for its panoramic view of the langur Himalayan range. s we reach the top we get mesmerized by the amazing views of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse, and Tawache peak & a great looking at Ngozumpa glacier on of the largest glacier in Nepal. Aer spending some time we head back. Overnight at guesthouse.
Today after having our breakfast we continue our trek heading to the foot of Cho La pass. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today early in the morning if the weather is favorable we start out climb towards Cho La pass taking on the trail which climbs steeply but is comparatively easy but we might face some problem due to the altitude and snow which often causes problems to cross the pass if it is covered by snow. As we reach the top, we get rewarded for the climb and get mesmerized by the magnificent views that it has to offers. After spending some time here we start descending towards Dzongla. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today after we continue our hike taking us you through t pastures and lonely huts of yak herders. As head towards the tiny settlement of Lobuche, the local terrain change into scattered shrubs and rocky, snow-dusted grasslands. Today’s trek ends at Lobuche, a small village situated in the shadow of the mountain. Overnight in Lobuche.
After a short climb through meadows, look down at the Khumbu glacier. Straight ahead is Today is the last hike to reach the Everest base camp. From Lobuche, we head towards Gorakshep once the site of the original Everest Base Camp, and it’s your last stop before pressing on to the base camp’s current location. Take a moment a brief break before resuming our hike as we are Leaving Gorakshep hiking alongside the Khumbu glacier moraine and its associated Khumbu Icefall.as we reach Everest Base Camp we get to spend some time to enjoy the mystifying atmosphere. Then we return to Gorakshep where we will be spending the night.
The day starts as we depart Gorakshep in the early morning to ascend to this famous viewpoint in time for sunrise, Kalapatthar, an excellent viewpoint to observe the Mount Everest and as the morning rays of the sun revealing the magnificent panoramic vista of the Everest massif and the surrounding peaks of Nuptse and Changtse. After spending some time here we head back towards Gorekshep for hot breakfast and start our descend towards Dingboche (4410m). Overnight at guesthouse.
From Dingboche, We will begin slowly following the Imja Valley as the trail rewards us with breathtaking views of Ama Dablam. Further, as we follow on the trail following the moraines that pour from Lhotse which lies at the altitude of 8501m to the smooth flat area at Pareshaya Gyab. Finally, we will arrive at Island Peak Base Camp which lies at the elevation of 5240m. Overnight at tented camp. Today we will also be getting our training from our veteran guides about peak climbing skills and utilization of climbing equipment’s ice axe, crampons, harness, etc. as well as ropes.
We start our trek towards the summit very early in the morning most likely it starts before 3 a.m. in the morning. As we are climbing our climbing guide will be fixing all necessary safety lines wherever needed and keeps a close eye on you for your safety. As we are pushing towards the peak climbing steep long ascent that finally ends as we reach the top and here we have reached our main goal as we celebrate and admire the marvelous panoramic view of mountains, after a while, we climb down to Island Peak Base Camp then to Chhukung village. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Today it’s a spare day to avoid a bad weather problem before summiting the peak. In case the is favorable for climbing we won’t be staying this day for a good weather day. Overnight at tented camp/teahouse.
Today after having our breakfast we leave the mountains behind us we start our descend towards Namche on the trail taking us through various towns of Orsho, Somare, and Pangboche, Tengboche then Pungki Thanka and the trail starts gradually ascents towards Kyangjuma, and after we reach Kyangjuma the trail is easier till Namche. Overnight at guesthouse.
Today we head back towards Lukla after having our breakfast taking on the trail as we cross many of the suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags as it flatters in sync to the wind as we passing through the village of Cheung enjoying every landscapes and scenery as we head towards Lukla. Overnight here in Lukla.
Spend the day in Kathmandu, to rest or to explore, as per your inclination. Overnight at hotel, breakfast included.
