Mera and Island Peaks Climbing chance to ascend two higher peaks set fairly close geographically but are divided by the gigantic peak series that separates the Khumbu from Hongu Valleys and Amphu Labtsa Pass (5,780m) offering you some of the most amazing views of the Langtang region west of Kanchenjunga and to the east, Island Peak is dwarfed by the massive Lhotse Face.

Mera and Island Peaks Climbing starts after taking a 30 min flight towards Lukla from where we start the long trek towards the peaks. The trail takes you across Chutok La pass, Pangkong and Col Khari La.further down the trail you walk pass rock-strewn meadows and the woody area filled with blue Himalayan pines and rhododendron trees before reaching Khothey.as you reach Tangnag you acclimatize here then head towards the side moraine of the Dig Glacier and before arriving at Khare from here the trek to Mera Base Camp starts, walking further to the High Camp presenting us breathtaking views of massive mountains like Chamlang (7290m), Baruntse (7220m), Everest (8848m), Makalu (8475m), Lhotse (8501m), etc., we will climb to Mera Peak summit(6476 m).

After Mera peak summit you head towards Island peak, taking the trail that goes across the Amphu Labtsa (5,780m) to reach Island Peak Base Camp (5,000m). With another acclimatization day, you start your trek towards Island Peak high camp (5,600m) and the with a climb to Island Peak lying 6189m.

As you arrive in the bustling capital city of Kathmandu at Tribhuvan. Where our representative will be waiting for you. After you meet our representative he will be greeting you and transfer you to the hotel. As for today, there are no planned activities, after you check in the hotel you can enjoy your leisure time. Later in the evening, we will be going out to have an authentic Nepali dinner along with live folk dance as a welcome dinner on the behalf of our team. After dinner, we head back to the hotel. Today after having we start our day y sightseeing tour around the valley as you get to experience rich culture and tradition along with Nepal’s history as it is presented by sculptures, art and architecture by visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are with the valley Kathmandu Such as Swayambhunath Temple also known as “The monkey temple” famous for its view of the entire valley, Kathmandu Durbar Square the home to the living goddess “Kumari” and many other temples, shrines and monuments such as (Hanumandhoka an old royal palace, Shiva Parbati Temple, Taleju Temple), Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest stupa and finally we end the day by Visiting Pashupatinath Temple. Today early in the morning, after breakfast we get to the airport and take a flight to Lukla also known as “the gateway to Everest”. As we enjoy our flight, during which we can get some specular mountain views. Upon arrival, our guide will brief us about our trek and introduce us to our porters. Then we begin our trek to the Chutok La pass (2945). Overnight stay at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Today, we start our trek from Chutenga as we take the trail that ascends as we cross the Zatrawala Pass (4610m.) and After spending some time here we resume our trek to Zatrabok (4704m) enjoying some of the spectacular views of Numbur Himal, Kongdi RI, Karyolang peak and many others. After we reach Zatrabok, we check in our Guesthouse. Overnight stay at Guesthouse.

From Mera Base Camp, we resume our trek after having our breakfast .the trail that we will be following today offers us eye-catching views of enormous mountains including Makalu (8475m), Everest (8848m), Chamlang (7290m), Baruntse (7220m), Lhotse (8501m) along with the view of the peaks like Ama Dablam, Kantega, Cho Oyu and As we get to reach the High Camp (5800m), where we will set our camp and will stay Overnight.

Today we summit Mera as we take the mountain hero the Sherpa’s. early in the morning about 2 am we start our day after having hot tea and a high-energy meal. As we start our summit the trail takes us through a glacier, snow hump-back ridge. Although this part of the route is not technical the slope steepens for a section behind the ridge and then you swing diagonally westward. As we complete these courses the summit once again comes back into our view. At the foot of the final steep ascent, we attach ourselves to the guiding and safety line fixed laid by our guide and reach Mera Peak’s summit. Upon arrival, we get spectacular panorama views of Everest. After spending some time we head to Kongma Dingma. Overnight at tented at camp.

We resume our trek by following the trail that takes us through the Hongu Valley, a remote valley in high altitude with no inhabitants giving the vibe of roaming into the wilderness, adding to its beauty is the valley. Huge flanks of Mt. Chamlang dominate on our left, and the spire of Baruntse comes into our view. From The valley, the trail remains broad and straight and gradually rises towards two majestic mountains Everest and Lhotse. We trail ascends until Seto Pokhari and where we will be camping for the night.

Today we resume our trek as we follow the trail taking us through the wilderness of the Honku Valley, Seto Pokhari to Amphu Lapcha high Camp showcasing us Mt. Chamlang (7321m) on our right with hanging glaciers on its South-Western and North-Western face. The trail also makes us Passing beneath the giant west face of Chamlang as we follow the trail beside the Hongu Khola. Before reaching the Hongu Glacier we will be spending some time her the head towards the religious site of Panch Pokhri (five lakes). Later we also trek towards Amphu Labsta’s southern Base Camp. Overnight at tented at camp.

Today, we will be crossing Amphu Laptsa pass from where it offers stunning views of Island Peak, Lhotse, and Nuptse that bestows over the Imja Valley. As we take the trail that ascends as taking us on the Southern side of the pass we get to view an interesting traverse, fantastic icefall, and to the crest of the pass at 5850m. now the trail starts descending down to the valley and moraine to camp which is beside the Imaja Glacier. after we enter the Imja Valley we spend the night here at tented camp.

Today, after having our breakfast we take the trail which gradually ascending up to Island Peak Base Camp that takes pass streamside, crosses a river, beneath the magnificent south face of Lhotse.as the Base camp is by the side of the Imja glacier, steep grassy slopes which mark the beginning of the moderately climb towards Island Peak. We start our climb from the southern side, then turn east to the contour of the valley. As we continue on the trail on the southern flank of Lhotse Glacier moraine. Before reaching the southeastern side from where we can see the Amphu Labtsa route. The trail also takes us past Imja and Lhotse glacier moraines which lead to a valley (Pareshaya Gyab) .we set our camp. Here, our climbing guide will instruct us on the methods of using climbing equipment and all the basic climbing technique. Overnight at tented at camp | Meals: high foods included.

We start our trek towards the summit very early in the morning most likely it starts before 3 a.m. in the morning. As we are climbing our climbing guide will be fixing all necessary safety lines wherever needed and keeps a close eye on you for your safety. As we are pushing towards the peak climbing steep long ascent that finally ends as we reach the top and here we have reached our main goal as we celebrate and admire the marvelous panoramic view of mountains, after a while, we climb down to Island Peak Base Camp then to Chhukung village.
