1-Day Thamel Rickshaw Tour – Discover Kathmandu’s Culture & Flavors in a Day Overview

Tour Description:

Looking for a unique way to explore Kathmandu in just a few hours?
The Thamel Rickshaw Tour offers a perfect introduction to the heart of the city, blending local culture, heritage, and street food in one unforgettable ride. If you’re looking for a quick yet unforgettable way to explore Kathmandu, the 1-Day Thamel Rickshaw Tour is the perfect option. This half-day tour offers a glimpse into the vibrant culture, rich history, and delicious flavours of Nepal’s capital, all from the comfort of a traditional rickshaw. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveller, this easy-paced, guided tour gives you the best of Kathmandu in just a few hours.

Why Choose This Tour?

The tour is designed to empower the local rickshaw drivers who previously were one of the biggest contributors to Thamel’s tourism. While earlier, the skilled drivers were central to the cultural tourism experience, with the advent of digital platforms, they’ve been unable to reach clients and gain work opportunities. As a result, the majority have been unable to sustain their livelihoods.
To overcome this, we have joined hands with local rickshaw drivers to offer them direct bookings and better pay than they usually get. Each day of our tour helps these drivers earn their livelihood, allowing them to lead sustainable lives. We are also attempting to enhance their communication skills so that their interaction with tourists is enhanced. Your participation and suggestions will be part of their success and give them a chance for a better future.
