Gosaikunda Trek – 5-Day Short Himalayan Hike to the Sacred Lake Overview
Tour Description:
Want a quick and fulfilling Himalayan trekking experience in Nepal? Nothing is better than our 5-Day Gosaikunda Short Trek, perfect for individuals with limited time and yet wanting to experience the stunning alpine scenery and spiritual splendour of the Himalayas. The trek takes you to holy Gosaikunda Lake (4,380 m)—one of the most preferred places of Hindu pilgrimage, most notably during the Janai Purnima in August in Nepal
Your trip begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche and a gradual ascent through rich forests and rhododendron thickets and into the alpine landscape. From Cholang Pati, there are good views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung and even in the distance, the Annapurna range. Overnight at Lauribinayak is a peaceful respite before you trek to the glacial lake of Gosaikunda at dawn. After being awestruck by the lake’s beauty and peace, you’ll trek back to Dhunche and return to Kathmandu by car.
This trek is fully supported with comfortable tea-house accommodation, so you don’t need to over-pack. You can also customise the itinerary to fit your own needs if you want to.
