Your Himalayan adventure begins with a breathtaking flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. After landing, you’ll meet your guide and porter team and begin your trek. Pass through picturesque Sherpa villages, cross suspension bridges, and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding — a peaceful village surrounded by pine forests.

Today, trek deeper into the Khumbu region, entering Sagarmatha National Park. Cross the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, and enjoy glimpses of Thamserku and Kongde Ri. The uphill climb to Namche Bazaar is challenging but rewarding. Namche is a vibrant town and the cultural and trading hub of the Sherpa people — a perfect place to acclimatize.

  • We have daily departures for this trip from March to May and from mid-September to mid-December. You can type in the number of passengers to book a reservation and select a date that is convenient for you. Due to group size, we never cancel a trip once you’ve made a reservation. If you would rather join the group, we will add more travelers on the selected date. You can let us know once you make a reservation or earlier.

🛂 Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for this trek. It must cover emergency medical expenses, high-altitude evacuation (up to 6,000 meters), and trip cancellation or delays. We recommend confirming coverage for helicopter rescue in the Himalayas.

🧳 Luggage & Packing

Your main bag will be carried by a porter (maximum 10 kg per person). Bring a small daypack for your valuables, camera, water, and daily essentials. We provide essential gear like sleeping bags, down jackets, and duffle bags (to be returned after the trek).

📶 Internet & Connectivity

Wi-Fi is available at some tea houses for an additional cost. You can also purchase a local Ncell or NTC SIM card in Kathmandu with a data package, though coverage may be limited at higher altitudes.

💧 Drinking Water

We provide purified drinking water using Ef-Chlor purification tablets. We recommend carrying a reusable water bottle or hydration bladder (at least 2 liters capacity).

🏔️ Altitude Sickness

The trek reaches an altitude of 5,364 meters at Everest Base Camp. Our itinerary includes proper acclimatization, and our guides carry a first-aid kit, oximeter, and oxygen. It’s important to walk slowly, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol.

💵 Money & Tips

Bring Nepali Rupees (NPR) in cash for extra expenses like snacks, Wi-Fi, hot showers, and tips. There are no ATMs beyond Namche Bazaar. Tips are appreciated by your guide and porter (industry standard: 10% of the trek cost).

  • The trek is considered moderate to challenging. While it doesn’t require technical climbing, you’ll be hiking at high altitudes with daily walks of 5–7 hours. Good physical fitness and mental preparation are important.

  • Prior trekking experience is helpful but not mandatory. As long as you’re reasonably fit and have a sense of adventure, you can complete the trek. Pre-trip training with cardio and hiking practice is recommended.
