Early morning, meet our company representative along with your trekking guide. Swift pick-up via private vehicle to the New bus park (Gongabu Bus park) , where you catch a local bus to Besi Sahar. The Tilicho Lake Trek adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Chame, the administrative centre of the Manang district and the starting point for many treks in the Annapurna region.

From Besisahar, the journey becomes more thrilling as we switch to a bumpy off-road track that follows the Marshyangdi River, passing through dense forests, hanging cliffs, small waterfalls, and remote Himalayan villages.

Though the ride is long and rugged, the stunning views and changing terrain make it a memorable start to our adventure. We reach Chame by evening and check into a local lodge. Overnight in Chame.

Upon reaching Manang, you’ll rest for a short time before starting the trek to Tilicho Base Camp. As you trek, you’ll pass through several Tibetan-style villages, where you’ll learn about local customs, religion, and lifestyle. The lake itself is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists, and the sight of its turquoise waters, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, is truly mesmerizing.

After spending some time exploring the lake and taking in its beauty, you’ll retrace your steps back to Tilicho Base Camp for lunch. Then, continue your descent to Shree Kharka for the night.

Best Time to Trek to Tilicho Lake

The best seasons for Tilicho Lake Trek are:

  • Spring (March to May) – Clear skies, blooming rhododendrons, warmer days.
